Ocean Star runs a number of mileage building experiences depending on our students needs and level of expertise.
Both the RYA and SAS have mileage requirements for Yachtmaster candidates. Yachtmaster Coastal (SAS Coastal Skipper) candidates for the RYA are required to have 800 nautical miles of sea-going experience. Yachtmaster Offshore candidates are required to have 2500 nautical miles of experience. Both sets of candidates also need a valid marine vhf certificate and first aid certificate. Proof of sea time is a must - make sure that logbook is up to date!
