Introduction To Efficient Deckhand Theory

The Introduction to Efficient Deckhand course has been specifically tailored to give you a significant theoretical knowledge advantage over your competitors in the industry.  As watch keeping is an integral part of being a competent crew person, a thorough understanding of the Collision Regulations, International System of Buoyage, and vessel identification during day- and nighttime is essential. You will also be introduced to vessel safety, GMDSS requirements, tidal theory and its implications, basic meteorology, vessel nomenclature, mooring, docking, and anchoring procedures.  You will not be required to complete any Chartwork training or examination during this course.
